5. Connected Platforms and Third-Party Integrations

ClickPost may allow you to connect third-party accounts and authorize our application to access certain information and perform actions on your behalf, subject to the permissions, scopes, settings, and limitations of those third-party platforms.

When you connect a supported platform, such as a social media account, page, channel, or business profile, we may receive information made available by that platform, which may include profile information, account metadata, permissions, business identifiers, page information, content-related information, and technical integration data necessary to provide the requested functionality.

We use such information solely to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the requested service, including enabling content posting, scheduling, draft creation, account connection management, publishing logs, and related operational support. We do not access or use third-party platform information beyond what is reasonably necessary for the permitted functionality, subject to applicable law, platform restrictions, and your authorized settings.

Please note that third-party platforms independently determine what data is made available through their APIs, what permissions are required, how tokens work, how permissions may be revoked, and what restrictions apply to data use, storage, transfer, deletion, and retention. If you disconnect a platform or revoke permissions through the platform, our access may be restricted or terminated accordingly.

6. Content, Posting, and Publishing Data

Because ClickPost is designed to help users publish content to connected platforms, we process content and related instructions that you submit or authorize. This may include media files, captions, hashtags, scheduling instructions, drafts, links, titles, descriptions, metadata, publishing preferences, visibility preferences, and records of posting results.

We may temporarily store, cache, reproduce, format, compress, transform, or otherwise process submitted content as reasonably necessary to:

  • prepare content for platform-specific posting or upload requirements;
  • maintain queues, schedules, drafts, and workflow states;
  • troubleshoot failed or interrupted actions;
  • generate logs and records associated with system operation and support;
  • support restoration, retry attempts, or internal diagnostics.

We do not claim ownership of your content. However, by submitting content or authorizing processing through the service, you grant us the limited rights necessary to host, process, transmit, and publish that content for service delivery and related operational purposes, as further described in our Terms & Conditions.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage objects, software development kits, and similar technologies to operate the website and service, maintain sessions, remember preferences, analyze traffic, improve performance, detect abuse, and support security and troubleshooting functions.

These technologies may be used to:

  • recognize returning users and maintain login sessions;
  • remember interface settings and account preferences;
  • measure interactions with our website, pages, and features;
  • understand usage trends and improve service reliability;
  • help prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and misuse.

Depending on your browser or device settings, you may be able to manage certain cookies or similar technologies. Please note that disabling some technologies may impair the functionality, availability, or security of parts of the service.

8. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances and to the following categories of recipients:

8.1 Service Providers and Vendors

We may disclose information to hosting providers, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics providers, authentication vendors, payment processors, support platforms, security vendors, contractors, consultants, and other service providers that perform functions on our behalf and are authorized to process information only as needed to provide services to us.

8.2 Connected Platforms

Where you choose to connect a third-party platform, we may transmit content, metadata, scheduling instructions, authorization information, and other required information to that platform as necessary to carry out the requested publishing or integration functionality.

8.3 Legal and Protective Disclosures

We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with law, legal process, court order, subpoena, governmental request, or regulatory obligation; to enforce our agreements; to investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; or to protect the rights, safety, and property of ClickPost, our users, or others.

8.4 Business Transactions

Information may be disclosed in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, investment transaction, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, dissolution, or other corporate event, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.

8.5 With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information where you direct us to do so, where you authorize a connection or integration, or where you otherwise consent to the disclosure.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to provide the service, to maintain operational records, to comply with contractual and legal obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce agreements, and to protect our business and users.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the nature of the service provided, operational needs, legal requirements, platform requirements, security needs, and the status of your account. For example:

  • account and billing records may be retained for administrative, tax, accounting, legal, and dispute-resolution purposes;
  • support and communication records may be retained to document service issues and business communications;
  • publishing logs, integration logs, and technical records may be retained for troubleshooting, fraud prevention, operational continuity, and security;
  • content and drafts may remain in active systems, backups, archives, or logs for a period of time after deletion requests, depending on technical and legal constraints.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, aggregate, anonymize, or otherwise de-identify it, subject to applicable law and operational necessity.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Such measures may include access controls, credential protections, encrypted transmission where appropriate, vendor controls, monitoring, and operational safeguards.

However, no method of transmission over the internet, no electronic storage system, and no software or cloud environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, while we take reasonable steps to protect information, we do not and cannot guarantee absolute security, uninterrupted confidentiality, or immunity from unauthorized access, cyberattack, system failure, human error, or other security events.

11. International Transfers and Service Providers

ClickPost and its service providers may process information in the United States and in other jurisdictions where we or our vendors maintain facilities, personnel, infrastructure, or operations, subject to applicable law and contractual protections where required. By using the service and providing information to us, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in jurisdictions that may have data protection laws different from those of your home jurisdiction.

In addition, some connected platforms and operational vendors may use globally distributed infrastructure, support teams, or subprocessors. Where we rely on service providers or infrastructure providers, we seek to use commercially reasonable arrangements appropriate for the nature of the service, data, and risk profile.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your relationship with us and your jurisdiction, you may have the ability to access, correct, update, delete, or request information about the personal information we process about you, subject to applicable law, identity verification, security procedures, platform restrictions, and our legitimate business and legal obligations.

You may also have the ability to:

  • disconnect connected accounts or revoke platform permissions through the platform itself;
  • update account information through your account settings or by contacting us;
  • opt out of certain non-essential communications by using unsubscribe mechanisms where available;
  • manage certain cookie settings through your browser or device controls.

We may need to retain certain information despite a request where retention is necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, tax or accounting obligations, enforcement of agreements, or other lawful internal business purposes.

13. Data Deletion Requests

If you would like to request deletion of information associated with your account or a connected platform authorization, you may submit a deletion request by emailing [email protected] with the subject line Data Deletion Request.

To help us process your request, please include sufficient information for us to identify your account and verify your authority to make the request, such as your name, business name, account email address, the connected platform involved, and a description of the information or account you want deleted.

Upon receipt of a verifiable request, we will review the request and take commercially reasonable steps to delete or de-identify applicable information within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations, security needs, technical constraints, platform requirements, backup systems, recordkeeping obligations, and our need to retain certain records for billing, disputes, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement.

If your request concerns information obtained through a third-party platform, you may also need to revoke the app’s permissions or disconnect the service through that platform’s settings. Deleting information from ClickPost does not automatically delete information that may already reside on or have been processed by a third-party platform, and those platforms may require separate action on your part.

14. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in a manner requiring parental consent under applicable law. If we learn that we have knowingly collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information as appropriate.

15. Legal Bases and Supplemental Regional Notices

Depending on the jurisdiction in which you reside, our processing may be based on one or more legal grounds, including where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests and those interests are not overridden by your rights, where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, or where you have provided consent for specific processing activities.

Residents of certain jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, subject to verification and statutory limitations. Where required by applicable law, we will honor such rights requests in accordance with the relevant legal framework.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable law, nor does it create rights beyond those provided by law except where expressly stated.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, data practices, legal obligations, technology, integrations, or business operations. When we do, we will update the Effective Date above. If changes are materially significant, we may also provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of the service after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Privacy Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
